[post_page_title]Ant-Man and his “Tales to Astonish”[/post_page_title]
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is filled with cool easter eggs, but we like this one in particular. In the movie Ant-Man, villain Darren Cross makes a reference to the comic books in one of his lines. He says the story of a miniature superhero working in secret is nothing but “propaganda, Tales to Astonish.”
This wasn’t true, of course, but the cool thing about it was that “Tales to Astonish” was the comic where Ant-Man’s incredible powers debuted. This meta moment hinted at the superhero’s entire origin story, to the enjoyment of the viewers who caught the reference.
