[post_page_title]Cloverfield’s baffling sound clip[/post_page_title]
Cloverfield is a pretty disorienting film, about a monster attacking a city while people seek refuge from it, filmed in the style of an amateur handheld camera. At the end of the film, Beth and Rob hide under the arch of a Central Park bridge.
After they do, a strike from above buries the two (and the camera) under, supposedly killing the monster. But after the movie credits (very Marvel-esque of him), director Matt Reeves inserted an audio clip that vaguely says “help us” and sounds like a military report stating the monster is “still alive.” Pretty chilling, right?
