Just because you’re making a movie about Superman, it doesn’t mean you can’t make references to Batman – especially when it’s Zack Snyder’s Justice league universe. While the director decided Batman should be older and hardened by battle for Batman vs Superman, the Man Of Steel special effects team decided the superhero was too much of an icon.
So they added a little easter egg in the scene when Zod discovers he has heat vision, and makes a building fall apart on Superman. You can see a poster in one of the cubicles that reads “Keep Calm and Call Batman”. It might not have been his idea, but he decided to take the advice.
