Ellen too rose to fame as a down to earth, relatable funny host, which was a departure from the more sophisticated, suit wearing talk show hosts we had seen up until then. The problem is, when your image is one of humble, relatable, gal or guy next door – you better keep up that image also off-camera.
Ellen couldn’t, whether because she grew more arrogant over the years or because she was never the Ellen we though she was.
